Birth Announcements
Sunday, July 8th, 2007I have been looking online at birth announcements. I guess it is a big thing to send out some sort of message to friends and family announcing the birth of your child. It used to be cigars, but apparently someone decided that maybe giving your friends and family lung cancer was probably not the best way to celebrate the birth of a child. Tumors are a natural downer.
Enter the video birth announcement. With the technology available nowadays, it is a fairly simple matter to create a video/photo slideshow announcing a birth. Pair it with some sappy music and you may even jerk some tears out of a few people.
Anyway, I decided that we would send out a video birth announcement when Isabella arrives. I also decided that I would be the one to create said announcement; Therefore I must practice. Here you will find my freshman effort. It is really a play in two acts and it inspired by both sappiness and a fond childhood memory of a story set in a galaxy far far away…
